Emma Connolly Yoga

About Me.

Hi, I’m Emma. I’m a 500-hour registered yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance. After concluding my competitive soccer and lacrosse career in high school, I yearned for a space where I could show up every day, push myself, be held accountable, learn, and grow. That's when I discovered yoga. I began practicing in Baptiste-style and Hot 26 rooms. Since then, I have studied many different yoga lineages, but my heart is always in a heated room.

After becoming obsessed with wanting to learn more, I embarked on my teaching journey with a 200-hour YTT through Yoga of Energy Flow with Andrea Fotopoulos and Daniel Orlansky. With them, I was exposed to learning rooted in alignment, energy, and the beauty of breath and fluid motion. After teaching in various locations around Boston for a year, I continued my education at Down Under School of Yoga, studying under Natasha Rizopolous and other seasoned instructors, where structure and alignment were integral to developing Vinyasa classes.

I also hold certifications in kids yoga and hands-on assisting, which enhance my teaching and allow me to better support my students. My teaching is a tribute to all my teachers and those who have come before me, while also drawing from my own experiences and what I love about practice: breath-led movement, clear alignment, and fluid, athletic sequencing. I teach part-time in Boston (see my page for the schedule), and I'm working on creating a YouTube channel to share classes with everyone.

Outside of yoga, I work in sales and live with my puppy, Moose, and my boyfriend, Andrew. I’m passionate about health and wellness; growing up in a family of runners, I believe yoga complements any movement routine. I can often be found making gluten- and dairy-free sweet treats because no day is complete without one. I love long walks, lifting weights, and finding ways to get 1% better every single day.
